Fall 2008 Program Registration
The Fall 2008 program session begins on September 22 and runs until December 7. In-person registration for Gold Members starts on Saturday, September 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. In-person registration for Silver Members starts on Saturday, September 13 from 9 a.m. to noon. You may register by phone and fax with your credit card on the Mondays after the in-person registrations have taken place. The program schedule is available at reception and online.

Kid Development Day Camp
at Variety Village
This school year as teachers take the time to do some professional development kids can do the same. Variety Village is now providing day camps for kids during the days they are not in school. The first camp takes place on Friday, September 26. You can find the brochure and registration form at reception or online.
Walk-n-Roll 2008
Are you ready to walk?
Are you ready to roll?
Join us on Sunday, September 21 at Variety Village for Walk-n-Roll 2008. You, your friends and family can walk or roll the 5K or 1k courses throughout the neighbourhood. With your help, we hope to raise the funds necessary to support Variety Village's integrated programs. Participants will enjoy a festive atmosphere with live entertainment, food and great prizes. You could win one of many prizes including a trip for two to sunny Florida! Online participants will receive two extra raffle ballots for an even better chance to win. It’s easy! Price increase for Silver Memberships
Starting October 15, 2008 we will raise our special needs and general Annual Silver Membership rates. This will be our first increase in over two years. If your membership expires after October 15 and you decide to renew before that date for another year, you can renew at the old price.

Variety Village athletes are competing in Beijing (above: Anné Polinario)

It’s time to celebrate our athletes. Five current and future Wall-of-Famers are making their way to Beijing to compete at the 2008 Paralympic Games. The athletes are Jeff Adams (athletics), Tracey Ferguson (athletics and wheelchair basketball), Abdi Fatah Dini (wheelchair basketball), Adam Lancia (wheelchair basketball) and Anné Polinario (swimming). The Games take place from September 6-17. If you’re interested in watching some of the events, the International Paralympic Committee will broadcast the Beijing Paralympic Games here.
