Jenny (a.k.a. stone cold)

Jenny, 16, started coming to Variety Village at a very early age. She started in the KinderSport program when she was only two years old. Her next program was Children in Motion, where she met Jeannette Lambert, one of her basketball coaches. She also did gymnastics for a while, Tae Kwon Do for a few years, and synchronized swimming for two seasons. But then she started wheelchair basketball – and this was the best sport for her. Over the years, she traveled with Variety Village teams to many tournaments and has been very successful – her room is filled with medals.

She’s also a Variety Ambassador representing the charity at many events. She may give a speech in front of hundreds of people, accept a big cheque for the charity, or help out at a golf tournament meeting a bunch of famous Hockey players.

About the Village she says: “I have grown up at the Village and I love it here. It’s a good thing it’s close to home, because my parents have to drive there a lot.”
